Why do cats act this way?
- Natural instincts: Some speculate that cats naturally extend their maternal instincts to human babies, treating them like their own kittens. In the wild, cats may raise their babies together in groups.
- Seeking comfort: The cat might also simply be seeking a warm, comfortable spot to rest and inadvertently ends up soothing the baby in the process.
